Venturing onto the Internet in search of financial security in an online business opportunity can be a daunting and risky move, if you are not aware of the schemes being conjured up to seperate you from your money.

Make no mistake! People get scammed everyday, but not only just online. Investment scams, mortgage fraud, insurance schemes, you name it. People are being taken advantage of all the time, in the name of “it’s only business”.

I can personally attest to “the price you pay for an education”, having put myself and my interests in a potentially profitable business or partnership, only to find out down the road the I would end up with an “education” and an empty checkbook.

Now, is it fair to say that an education must be paid for? Yes, I believe it is.

But what is the price of a great education?

Be aware. Most of the business opportunities you’ll find online are going to be based around you paying for the lessons you are going to learn, and then you becoming the salesperson or marketer who then offers that information for sale to others. From my point of view, I see it as two reasons.

First, with the advent of the Internet, the world of information was made available to us at the touch of our fingertips, from the comfort of our homes. And savvy entrepreneurs saw the opportunity to fashion bits of information into packages that could then be sold.

There are many forms of this marketing that have been created. A few of mention are e-book documents, videos, membership sites, webinars, and much, much more. Of course, there are also businesses concepts that are built around products, but behind the scenes, it will also boil down to receiving an education on how to market and/or advertise the business and products. See, everything eventually comes back to paying for education, and then becoming an agent for the sale of that same information.

Secondly, and this is where the fortunes are being made, is the ability for this process to rapidly grow and multiply, by the viral effect of the systemwide nature of the Internet, into a cascading watershed of profits. See, in the beginning, the people who were able to envision this process were the ones who quickly put their plans into play and who are still profiting from them today.

This is referred to as affiliate marketing, or referral sales.

By implementing a system to sell a product or service, and by offering either those who choose to advertise the product for a commission and by allowing others to profit from the sale of their referrals after making a purchase, viral marketing is created.

This non-traditional approach to business building exploded in the early days of the Internet, and still exists today, although the market is flooded with products and ideas, and the competition for the paying customer is fierce.

Traditional network marketing was also affected by the Internet, allowing for companies to easily expand their message and products to a growing audience, outside of the traditional person-to-person selling that typically was network marketing. These business opportunities have thrived in this environment, because it was relatively simple to put together a company and have it broadcastsed to a very large audience, fairly quickly.

Which brings me to where we are right now. You’ve been reading this because you have a curiosity about earning income through a business opportunity, and you want to know what is all about, and what information I might have to help you in your quest.

Here it is! The information you initially get access to is generally “useful, but incomplete”!

That’s right! The hook is that you get a very good dose of what you’re looking for, and you get warmed up by the marketing and salesmanship of the proprietor, only to find yourself placed in a position of a making a decision. And it is at this point, that the real skill of the marketer comes in!

See, making money by selling is not about putting cash in your pocket. It’s about helping people to make a decision about whether to buy what you are selling, without them ever knowing that you were selling them something!

It’s really about problem solving. If an individual or collective has a problem that they feel needs to be solved, and you can help them to see that you have knowledge of a solution to that perceived situation, then there becomes an opportunity for a transaction to be created, where a value can be placed on the exchange of that information. This is the creation of a sales transaction.

Become a transaction specialist, and you will be successful. Try to sell stuff to people, and you’ll probably end up frustrated and possibly broke. I have spent several years acquiring this understanding and insight, and I am prepared to share that knowledge with you.
